Introduction 2.0
ABOUT ME
My name is Amna Ahmad, and I am an A2 Media Studies student at Roots International College. Media has become an important part of my life, shaping how I view films, series, and even everyday content. What fascinates me most is how the same theories, techniques, and color palettes combine differently to create unique expressions, much like notes forming a melody. Out of all forms of media, music videos inspire me the most because they merge music and visuals into one powerful form of storytelling. I am especially interested in music production, from layering sounds to syncing beats with visuals, since this process can completely transform the tone of a video. Learning how directors and producers bring music and imagery together pushes me to think more creatively and experiment with new ideas. Platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram also motivate me, showing how music-driven content can connect and influence audiences worldwide. Hopefully, I’ll enjoy creating my music video this year just as much as I did last year.
My filmmaking partner, Zainab Shafqat, and I share a strong creative bond when it comes to media production. This year, we decided to work together on a music video, as both of us are equally fascinated by how music and visuals merge to create powerful stories. Just like last year, when we collaborated on our short film in the psychological thriller genre, our teamwork has once again been central to bringing our vision to life. Zainab and I balance each other’s ideas, ensuring every detail is refined and every creative choice supports the overall concept. Her input, from visual style to production planning, has been invaluable, and working alongside her has made this process just as exciting and rewarding as our project last year
